SPACE QUEST 0: REPLICATED

WALKTHROUGH

This walkthrough was written by Frodo

for Janitor In Space

LABION ORBITAL STATION 10

​

You wake from your nap to the sound of gunfire.  As you step out of

your hiding place in the cupboard, the first thing you see is a dead

crewman.  

 

Walk right back into the Janitor’s Cupboard, and LOOK around.  GET

CROWBAR, then leave the cupboard.  Walk over to your fallen comrade,

LOOK MAN, SEARCH MAN, and GET KEYCARD.  Walk over to the

computer console at the lower left, and EXAMINE CONSOLE to see the

flashing button.  Now PUSH BUTTON to hear the scientist’s log.  Walk

over to the lift door at the top left, and LOOK DOOR.  Hmmm,

apparently this door uses a key card system.  Okay, USE KEYCARD on

the door.  You now enter the lift.  Inside the lift, LOOK around to see

three buttons.  PUSH BUTTON THREE to go up to the 3rd floor.  

 

Things look very dire, Roger.  You need to find a way out of here.  Walk

left, and LOOK around.  Walk up to one of the escape pods and try to

OPEN DOOR, but there‘s no power.  You’ll have to fix that problem.  

 

Walk right twice, and LOOK around.  You are in the Outer Hall.  Enter

door on the left. 
 
You have reached the Bridge.  The floor is littered with bodies!  

SEARCH MAN lying near you, and GET MICROCHIP.  The other bodies

have nothing of interest.  Notice the two computer console stations at

front of the screen.  Walk over to the left computer console station, and

navigate yourself between the chair and the station.  Now LOOK

CONSOLE to see the end of the last transmission.  Hmmm, he looks

very familiar!  Now exit the close-up.  Walk over to the middle of the

back wall, and LOOK MONITOR to see some useful information -

remember that orange is for distress.  Walk through door on the left.  

 

You’re back in the Outer Hall.  Walk right to the next screen.  

 

You’re in a strange room that appears to be unfinished.  LOOK around.  

Walk over to the console on the back wall and LOOK CONSOLE.  Now

USE MICROCHIP in the console to restore power to the station.  

 

Walk left 3 times.  You see the blue woman entering one of the escape

pods.  So the escape pods are working now?  Excellent!  Walk over to

the remaining escape pod, and OPEN DOOR and ENTER POD.  

 

 

 

 


ESCAPE POD

​

Once in the escape pod, LOOK around.  PUSH POWER button to turn

the pod on.  TAKE DISK, and then look at it in your Inventory.  Uh-oh…

it’s a VIRUS DISK.  PULL THROTTLE LEVER to open the bay doors

and activate Autopilot.  

 

The good news is that you escape from the Orbital Space Station, along

with the blue woman you saw entering the other escape pod.  The bad

news is that your engine has just died.  

 

If you remember the information you saw on the large monitor on the

Bridge, you’ll know to PUSH ORANGE BUTTON to activate the

Distress Signal.  Hopefully, help will arrive soon.  

 

Unfortunately, before help arrives, your escape pod crashes onto the

planet below.  

 

 

 

 


LABION PLANET

​

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  You crash-landed in an underwater tunnel,

so have a LOOK around.  Something has fallen from the cockpit.  Swim

down to the object and LOOK OBJECT to see that it’s a SURVIVAL KIT.  

That could prove useful!  GET KIT and OPEN KIT.  Now WEAR

REBREATHER.  Phew!  You can breath again!  Swim right to the next

screen.  

 

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Now this bit is tricky.  Swim over to that

skeletal-looking thing on the right, and navigate your way through the

lower  right path, CAREFULLY avoiding those pink plants (they’ll kill

you).  Swim right to the next screen.  

 

Again, navigate through the deadly pink plants, and continue right to

the next screen.  

 

Notice how there is fish swimming here, but there wasn’t in the last

screen.  There’s because there is no deadly pink plants here.  Swim to

middle of the screen, and GET PLANT from the sea floor - you now

have some SWAMP WEED.  Now swim up to top of the screen, and

the opening near the top left.  You pop your head up, and find yourself

in the middle of a dense jungle.  Leave pond by walking up the slope on

the right, then continue right to next screen.  

 

LOOK around, then walk over to the tree that’s fallen onto the rock,

and LOOK TREE.  Walk to the end of the tree, and LOOK IN LOG.  

Repeat this, until you get a BUCKAZOID.  Now LOOK FRUIT that is

hanging on the branch behind the fallen log.  Walk over to the fruit, and

GET FRUIT.  SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Now walk over to the tree in

middle of the screen - the one with the branches - and GET BRANCH.  

The tree will come alive, and scream at you.  Now you may be tempted

to give the branch back to the tree, but DON’T.  You need the branch

later on, and if you don’t have it, this results in a dead end.  Anyway,

after you get the BRANCH, continue right to the next screen.  

 

LOOK HUT, then walk over to the board that’s lying against the door,

and GET BOARD.  Enter the hut and TALK MAN to find out that he’s

looking for his walking stick.  GIVE STICK TO MAN (the branch you

got from the tree earlier), and he tells you he’s departing for his journey

soon.  TALK MAN again, and repeat this until he tells you to taste the

soup, so walk over to the fireplace and TASTE SOUP.  TALK MAN

again, and keep doing this until he repeats himself.  Now walk over to

the table and LOOK TABLE.  Walk to left edge of the table, and READ

PAPERS, then GET GLUE.  When you’re ready, leave the hut.  

 

Walk left, back to that tree (sorry tree!), then return right the hut.  

 

Enter hut again - the man should have left for his journey now, so

OPEN CHEST next to the door.  SEARCH CHEST and TAKE ORIUM.  

Now leave the hut again.  

 

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Walk left twice to the pond, then up to the

huge rock.  LOOK ROCK to see the weird face.  Walk over to the face,

and TALK STONE.  It asks you to feed it, but it’s mouth is moving

VERY quickly.  If you read the PAPERS on the table in the hut, you will

have got some clues for here.  PUT GLUE ON FRUIT, walk over to the

face, and FEED STONE.  The glue sticks the rock’s mouth closed, and

keeps another door open - walk through this new door.  

 

You’re inside the weird rock statue, with a chasm with next to you.  

DRINK WATER from the pool.  SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Now walk to

the chasm on the right, but be careful not to fall down.  PLACE BOARD

over the chasm, then walk across to the other side.  After you’ve

crossed the chasm, GET BOARD again.  Now SAVE YOUR GAME HERE. Take note of those hole in the floor - there’s nasty spikes lurking in

those holes.  You need to carefully navigate through those hole without

stepping on the spikes.  It’s tricky, but you can do it.  I found it easier to

go through the top section of holes.  When you’ve passed the spikes,

head up through the door.  

 

You’re now in an underground cave with cascading waterfalls.  SAVE

YOUR GAME HERE.  Work your way round the path, and exit at the

bottom left.  

 

There’s a glass tunnel, with a swarm of bees here.  Walk left to the next

screen.  

 

Wow, you’ve found a secret underground laboratory.  LOOK around,

then LOOK PEDESTAL in centre of the room, and GET SLIME DEVIL

from pedestal.  Now GET PASSCARD from under console on the right

LOOK CONSOLE on the right, and PUSH BUTTON to see the scientist’s

log.  Walk to shelves on the left, and GET BEAKER from the shelves.  

Now walk right, back the way you came.  

 

You’re in the glass tunnel again.  LOOK DOOR here, then USE

PASSCARD on the door.  Enter the door.  

 

This was the doctor’s bedroom… but he’s been murdered here.  Walk

over to him and SEARCH MAN.  Walk to where his hands are and GET

TOWEL.  You automatically get the HANGER as well.  SEARCH CHAIR

in middle of the room to find a SCRAP OF PAPER, then READ PAPER

to learn about R.A.L.P.H.  Now walk up to the bookshelves at top of the

screen, SEARCH SHELF, and TAKE CARTRIDGE.  Move to a different

part of the shelf, and again, SEARCH SHELF and TAKE CARTRIDGE.  

Keep doing this until you have the BLUE CARTRIDGE and the GREEN

CARTRIDGE.  Since you are here, walk onto the treadmill and PUSH

BUTTON to turn it on.  Keep using the treadmill until the game tells

you ‘That’s enough’, then jump off the treadmill.  USE BEAKER to

collect some sweat - you’ll need it later.  Well you’re all sweaty now, so

walk into shower chamber on the left, and USE SHOWER.  Ahhh, that

feels better.  Now leave the bedroom.  

 

Go left, so you are back in the lab.  USE CONSOLE on the right wall to

analyze your SWEAT - you end up with some SALT crystals.  Now USE

PASSCARD on the door at top of the screen.  

 

You find yourself in a basement.  SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  There are

two generators here - one of them has a panel removed.  Walk up to the

open panel and LOOK GENERATOR then GET ACTUATOR.  

Unfortunately, the guard from upstairs notices the lack of power, and

he keeps coming down here.  You need to hide in the shadows when

he’s down here, and work your way to the green dumpster on the left

when he’s upstairs.  Using this technique, work your way to the

shadows between the dumpster and the stairs.  When you’re in position

next to the stairs, wait for the guard to come back, then USE

CROWBAR on the guard to knock him out.  Now SEARCH GUARD, GET

ARMOUR, GET RIFLE, and WEAR ARMOUR to disguise yourself as a

guard.  Now head on up the stairs.  

 

 

 

 


SHUTTLE BAY

​

LOOK around the shuttle bay, Notice the lift on the right wall - walk

over to it, and LOOK DOOR.  Hmmm, the lift isn’t working because

someone disabled the power.  Now who could that have been???  

LOOK CRUISER, LOOK HOSE, and TAKE HOSE.  Notice the man

smoking on the left - TALK MAN to discover he is selling the cruiser.  

Now walk over to the landing gear on the right side of the cruise, and

LOOK BOOT to see the traffic boot.  Only acid can burn through these?  

No problem!  Simply PUT SLIME DEVIL ON BOOT, and the traffic boot

dissolves.  

 

Walk left, to the other side of the shuttle bay.  LOOK around, walk over

to the policeman, and TALK MAN.  He asks you to get him an ale, and

gives you a few buckazoids to do so.  Walk up ramp on the left then

LOOK DOOR.  

 

Head back right, and walk back down stairs on the right.  Walk back

over to the generator and PLACE ACTUATOR to restore power to the

lift upstairs.  Now walk back up the stairs, and walk over to the lift.  

 

The lift door opens automatically, so step inside.  LOOK inside the lift,

and PRESS TWO.

 

 

 

 


SPACE PORT

​

Well, this place looks interesting!  So many different colourful aliens.  

Enter Spaceport Souvenirs on the left.  Bambi Blatz (any relation to

Fester Blatz?) gives you her sales pitch.  SELL ORIUM and SELL GUN

to Bambi, and she pays you 200 BUCKAZOIDS.  Now LEAVE the shop.  

 

Enter Space Bar on the right.  Wow, there’s a live band playing here!  If

you leave the bar, then re-enter, a different band will be playing.  Walk

over to the bar, ORDER BRANDY, and GET BRANDY.  Now ORDER

ALE and GET ALE.  When you’re ready, leave the bar.  

 

Enter the lift, and PRESS ONE, so you are back in the shuttle bay.

​

 

 


SHUTTLE BAY

​

Walk left to the next screen, and walk over to the policeman.  GIVE

BRANDY TO MAN - he’ll proceed to drink it, get VERY drunk, and fall

down unconscious.  SEARCH MAN and GET KEY to the cruiser.  Now

make your way right, enter the lift, and go back up to the space port.

SPACE PORT

​

Enter Spaceport Souvenirs on the left, and SELL ARMOUR to Bambi.  

Now LEAVE the shop.  

 

You have lots of money now.  Notice the little greed droid in the middle

of the floor, and LOOK DROID.  He’s for sale for 215 Buckazoids.  He’s

actually a Nav Droid, which is what you’ll be needing to fly the cruiser.  

Now notice the blue snake-thing at the back wall.  He’s actually a

salesman, so TALK ALIEN and then BUY DROID.  You’re now the

proud owner of the little green Nav Droid.  SEARCH BOX next to the

salesman and TAKE PARTS to get some spare parts.  Now walk over

to your new droid, and ACTIVATE DROID to turn it on.  

 

Before you leave here, notice those two people at bottom right.  Isn’t

that blue woman the same woman you saw earlier?  Walk over to the

bush and LISTEN.  Hmmm, so her name is Xavi?  It seems she’s

involved in a Resistance Movement against cloning experiments.  The

alien she’s talking to tells her to lay low for a while.  

 

There’s nothing else you can do up here, so make your way back down

to the cruiser you acquired.  

 

 

 


YOUR SHIP

​

ENTER SHIP from the front right edge.  Walk over to the chair and SIT

down.  You now see the Flight Interface.  

 

Press 2 to start the engines.  
Press 1 to activate the Navigation System.  
Press 7 to activate the radar.
Press 1 to scan the area.  Keep scanning until you find Monolith Burger.  
Press 2 to set course to Monolith Burger.  
Press 3 to take off.
Press 5 for light speed.
Press 4 to land.
Press 6 to exit the Flight Interface.
Walk left to exit the ship.

MONOLITH BURGER

​

Hmmmm, Monolith Burger!  Everyone’s favourite fast food place!  Walk

left to the next screen, walk up to the counter, and BUY MEAL.  The

Manager gives you a Nappy Meal.  EAT MEAL to find a secret prize, a

GOLD RING.  EXAMINE RING, and WEAR RING - it’s… it’s the ONE

RING!  The ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL!  Oh no!  You HAVE to destroy

it!  

 

Walk right again, and bump into Xavi, the blue woman.  She talks to

you, and asks you to meet her at her home on Andromeda, then she

leaves.  You want to meet with her, but first, you have to destroy the

ONE RING.  Go back to your ship.

YOUR SHIP

​

Walk over to the chair and SIT down.  You now see the Flight Interface.  

 

Press 2 to start the engines.  
Press 1 to activate the Navigation System.  
Press 7 to activate the radar.
Press 1 to scan the area.  Keep scanning until you find Ortega.  
NOTE:  Ortega won’t appear on your radar until you WEAR RING.
Press 2 to set course to Ortega.  
Press 5 for light speed.
Press 4 to land.
Press 6 to exit the Flight Interface.

 

 

 


ORTEGA

​

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Walk over to the transporter, and USE

TRANSPORTER to beam down to Ortega’s surface.  It’s hot down

here!  Walk to the edge of the cliff, and THROW RING.  You’ve

destroyed that evil ring once and for all, congratulations.  Hobbits and

elves rejoice!  Walk around for a while.  It’s getting hotter and hotter.  

But just when it feels like your insides are boiling… your little droid

friends beams you back up onto the ship.  

 


YOUR SHIP

​

Let’s go and meet with Xavi on Andromeda now.  Walk over to the chair

and SIT down.  You now see the Flight Interface.  

 

Press 2 to start the engines.  
Press 1 to activate the Navigation System.  
Press 7 to activate the radar.
Press 1 to scan the area.  Keep scanning until you find Andromeda.  
Press 2 to set course to Andromeda.  
Press 3 to take off.
Press 5 for light speed.
Press 4 to land.
Press 6 to exit the Flight Interface.
Walk left to exit the ship.

ANDROMDEDA

​

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  LOOK around - seems like a nice place.  

Walk over to the house, enter the lift, and PRESS TWO to go up to the

second floor.  

 

This is Xavi’s house.  TALK XAVI - she confesses that is was her who

put the virus in your escape pod and sabotaged the space station.  But

she was trying to prevent the creation of clones.  She goes on to explain

that Dr Vohaul has been creating a clone army.  There is still a cloning

facility on Mitos 15, and she wants you to go with her to the planet and

disable the main generator.  I guess Mitos 15 is your next destination.  

When conversation is over, KISS XAVI.  Ahhh, how sweet.  Now enter

the lift again, and PRESS ONE to leave her house.  Xavi follows you.  

 

Walk over to your ship, and enter it.  

 


YOUR SHIP

​

Xavi is already in your ship.  Walk over to the other chair and SIT down.  

You now see the Flight Interface.  

 

Press 2 to start the engines.  
Press 1 to activate the Navigation System.  
Press 7 to activate the radar.
Press 1 to scan the area.  Keep scanning until you find Mitos 15.  
Press 2 to set course to Mitos 15.  
Press 3 to take off.
Press 5 for light speed.
Press 4 to land.
Press 6 to exit the Flight Interface.

MITOS 15

​

Walk up to the transporter, and USE TRANSPORTER to beam down

to the planet surface.  Xavi will be back for you after you’ve destroyed

the main generator.  

 

SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  LOOK around the planet, LOOK

MUSHROOM, and GET MUSHROOM.  You automatically eat the

mushroom.  

 

Walk right, and watch the man get vaporised by the orb.  But DON’T

follow the orb, or the force field will kill you.  

 

Now return left, to the starting screen.  LOOK ROCK by the pond, to

see that it looks out of place.  If you look closely, it almost looks like it

has a face.  GIVE OPENED MEAL (you got it from Monolith Burger) to

the rock - the rock comes alive, eats the meal, then dives down into the

pond (this doesn‘t work unless you saw the man get vaporised by the

orb).    Enter pond and DIVE down below the surface.  

 

Swim down to lower section of the cave, and swim right, then surface

again.  There’s a big pile of rocks here.  LOOK ROCKS, GET ROCK, and

then CLIMB ROCKS to get out of the tunnel.  

 

You’re back on the planet surface now, and you’re on the other side of

the force field.  The guard had dropped his radio on the ground before

he was vaporised, so walk over to it, and GET RADIO.  Now continue

right.  

 

Uh-oh, there’s more guards here, so SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  

THROW ROCK, and one of the guards will go to investigate.  Now USE

RADIO, and the second guard will think it’s the first guard, and go to

investigate.  The coast is clear.  Enter the building.  

​

 

 


CLONING FACILITY

​

Well, you’ve made it to the cloning facility.  You just have to find the

main generator and destroy it, now.  Easier said than done!  

 

LOOK CONSOLE at the entrance.  Unfortunately, you have no idea

what the read-outs mean.  Make your way right, to the next screen.  

 

This is where all the canisters are stored, for the clones.  Walk over to

the computer - note how there is a red cartridge inserted in it.  LOOK

CARTRIDGE - thankfully, the cloning training hasn’t begun yet.  GET

RED CARTRIDGE, and INSERT BLUE CARTRIDGE (Insurance Sales

Techniques) into the computer.  Head back left again.  

 

You hear footsteps, so quickly hide behind console at the main

entrance, where you came in.  A guard will enter the room, and leave via

the top-left exit.  Luckily, he didn’t see you.  Stay where you are, until

the guard returns, and heads back through door on the right.  Notice

that he accidentally left door at the top-left open.  Head on up through

that door.  

 

This is the Security Room for the entire complex.  LOOK COMPUTER

on the left to see a close-up of the security systems.  EJECT DISK

from Drive A, and INSERT VIRUS DISK in it’s place to disable the

security systems.  Now EXIT the screen, and leave the room.  

 

Now the security systems are down, there is no longer a force field

blocking entrance at the back right wall.  So head up through this exit.  

 

The long, twisted pathway has a large gap.  SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  

Now the gap is too wide for you to jump over, so you’ll have to get

creative.  TIE ROPE TO HANGER to make a GRAPPLING HOOK, then

THROW GRAPPLING HOOK up to the railing above, and SWING across.

Time it right, and JUMP onto the pathway again.  Now continue up the

pathway, and edge your way along the top section.  Then enter door in

the back wall.  

 

This is an abandoned power room.  SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Walk

over to statue on the left, and LOOK STATUE.  LOOK DOOR on the

left to see that it’s locked.  LOOK SHAFT in the back wall, and then

CLIMB CABLES.  You’ll now see a maze of cables that you have to

navigate without touching any of the live wires.  LOOK CABLES to

learn that you can only climb on the large cables.  SAVE YOUR GAME

HERE.  Now it’s a horrendous maze, and you should SAVE your

progress every so often.  This is how you get through it. 

​

-  Climb up the orange cable, then move right to the green cable.
-  Climb up green cable to the top.
-  FLIP SWITCH - notice how it changes from green to red.
-  Climb down green cable, to the orange horizontal cable
-  Make sure your hands are on the  thick orange cable.
-  Head left on the thick orange cable, to the switch.
-  FLIP SWITCH - it turns from green to red.
-  Go back right along the thick orange cable, to the green cable.
-  Climb down the green cable, to the thick pink cable.
-  Head left along the thick pink cable, to the switch.  
-  FLIP SWITCH - it changes to red.
-  Keep going left along the pink cable, to the next switch.
-  FLIP SWITCH - it changes to red.  
-  Head right slightly, to the light green thick cable.
-  Climb up the light green cable - stop before the sparks.  
-  Time it right, and continue up green cable, in between sparks.
-  At top of cable, FLIP SWITCH.
-  Time the sparks right, and climb back down, in between sparks.
-  Continue down light green cable, until you reach darker, curvy cable.
-  Head right & up the darker green curvy cable, to the switch.
-  FLIP SWITCH.
-  Head straight up, to exit the maze.  

​

Phew, that was pretty horrendous!  Now this room seems to be a

production line for Insurance Salesmen Clones.  There’s nothing you can

do here, so head left to the next screen.  

 

You’re on a walkway, high above a deep chasm.  There’s a strong gust

of wind every so often.  LOOK around the room, to see the fans and the

generator.  USE TOWEL ON BRANDY to create a MOLOTOV

COCKTAIL, then SAVE YOUR GAME HERE.  Now walk to centre of the

platform, and when the wind is blowing, LIGHT TOWEL.  You

automatically throw MOLOTIV COCKTAIL up to the top of the

chamber, thus destroying the fans.  Now SAVE YOUR GAME HERE,

and continue left to the next screen.  

 

You’re now forced into a light sabre duel with Ael.  Just use A and Z

continuously, for high and low attacks.  It’s tedious, but you should

eventually win.  

 

Now sit back, and watch the ending as Xavi comes back for you, and you

both return to Andromeda.
